Welcome to Osta Café and Wine Bar, undeniably one of the best cafes in Sligo. Local suppliers bring us quality produce and seasonal vegetables, we guarantee you will not be able to resist our homemade cakes, daily lunch specials, puddings and famous coffees to die for. We also offer a great selection of teas and infusions.
Ideally situated alongside the Garavogue River (near Hyde Bridge), Stephen Street, Sligo, take time out from shopping, work, or browsing, bring along the kids and indulge!
We bake our fresh scones & muffins to have them warm and fresh for you early every morning. Pop in for a full Sligo breakfast or for our famous pancakes or just for a cup of our expertly prepared coffee. We are normally open from 8am, Monday to Saturday and from 9am on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
Osta Cafe & Wine Bar stays open until 7pm Monday to Wednesday serving delicious light meals using the best of local produce and until 8pm (or later by arrangement) Thursday to Saturday serving delicious Tapas. We are open until at least 5pm on Sundays(often later - please call to check) . Join our Irish speaking group on Fridays or our French speaking group on Mondays for relaxed friendly conversation or come to our many music and literary evenings (please see Facebook for upcoming events) This is the ideal venue for a relaxed bite to eat after work and before a show.
Osta Cafe & Wine Bar is an excellent venue for private parties, from early morning breakfasts to informal receptions and even intimate wedding parties. We can serve food to individual requirements.

Ann & Thomas O’ Donovan of Ballysadare Eggs and Mary Luthers of Bluebell Farm who supply us with free range and organic eggs; Le Fournil on Tobergal Lane who supplies freshly baked French breads Tuesday to Saturday; Keith Clarke who brings local Knocknaree Honey; Clarkes butchers who supplies our ham which we roast. Silke Cropp who makes sheep, cow, and goat’s cheese in Belturbet, Co Cavan. Gerry Blaine who supplies us with our delicious smoked mackerel,salmon and naturally smoked haddock and of course our local farmers who supply us with milk and cream through Connacht Gold dairy. (Many of our suppliers have stalls at Sligo Farmers Market on Saturday mornings)
Our Sligo Breakfast - taste the difference - all produce locally sourced (tomatoes in season from Crimlin Farm and Eden Plants!) and breakfast meats from Sheerins & Clarkes Butchers and includes our delicious homemade boxty!
Our now famous coffee is prepared by our trained Baristas using an ethically sourced, Fairtrade and organic mix of Mexican and Peruvian Arabica which is freshly roasted and blended in Dublin by Java Republic.
Teas and infusions are sourced through Kardammuma (from Sligo) and Solaris Herbs Galway.
We are always delighted to find new and producers to supply our Cafe and also our retail area.
