Osta Café and Wine Bar opened in July 2006 with the idea of serving good food simply prepared!
Five years on and we are still committed to our use of locally sourced, preferably organic seasonal produce.
Our winter opening hours:
Monday to Saturday 8am to 7pm (open later for language evenings and prebooked events)
Please note that we will be closed on Sundays until March 3rd.
We wish to thank all our suppliers for their support in delivering such excellent quality produce: Rod Alston of Eden Plants (the pioneer organic farmer) and Volmar Klohn of Crimlin Farm and Siobhan from Kinneden Organic Growers who make the trek to Sligo to deliver us seasonal vegetables. Ann Donovan of Ballysadare Eggs and Mary Luthers of Bluebell Farm who supply us with free range and organic eggs; The French Market on Tobergal Lane who delivers freshly baked French breads daily; Keith Clarke who supplies local Knocknaree Honey; Clarkes and Sheerins butchers who supply meat for our 30 mile breakfast. Silke Cropp who makes sheep, cow, and goats cheese in Belturbet, Co Cavan. Gerry Blaine who supplies us with our delicious smoked mackerel and naturally smoked haddock and of course our local farmers who supply us with milk and cream through Connacht Gold dairy. (Many of our suppliers have stalls at Sligo Farmers Market on Saturday mornings)
NEW - Sligo Breakfast - taste the difference all produce locally sourced (tomatoes in season from Crimlin Farm and Eden Plants!). Boxty by the Boxty Bakers!
Our now famous coffee is prepared by our trained Baristas using an ethically sourced, Fairtrade and organic mix of Mexican and Peruvian Arabica which is freshly roasted and blended in Dublin by Java Republic. Teas and infusions are sourced through Kardammuma (from Sligo) and Solaris Herbs Galway (with Sligo connections).
